In the summer of 1965, Martin Bukovi became the technical manager of Olympiakos -up to now the largest Greek soccer team, with hordes of fanatic supporters- with the sole purpose of leading the team to its first championship since 1959. After achieving two consecutive championships, the Hungarian coach saw his career reach an inglorious conclusion in 1967, when he had to leave in the middle of the night thanks to the military Junta, which didn’t want him in Greece. The book has been adapted by the author into a screenplay for a film, which a major Greek production company filmed in 2007.
