During a future military entanglement between Greece and Turkey, a Turkish fighter plane succeeds in making a low flight over the Acropolis, causing an unexpected shock throughout the nation. The vibrations caused by the plane’s flight damage the monuments and disturb the stability of the Parthenon, which suffers perceptible disfigurement. In order to restore the monument, it has to be dismantled stone by stone. Greeks and foreign immigrants take part in the restoration work. During the course of the reconstruction work, the face of the modern country is revealed without any make-up and the channel of history is shown without deposits, prejudices and stereotypes.
