This is the second novel by a young writer, Thanassis Heimonas (b. 1971). His first novel, Ramon, presented his ideas through the story of a young man who tries, with dubious success, to set goals in his life. Heimonas' hero continually feels like a moving target. This new novel develops his ideas through a more composite plot. This is the story of Michael and his meeting, under mysterious circumstances, with a Greek-Albanian woman who is involved in and who involves him in an unforeseeable business. The focus is once again on the make-up of the hero as he lives and moves in a hostile city, in an unstable environment. The book reveals a film-like structure, everyday dialogue, first-person narrative in a highly idiosyncratic text that genuinely records the "approximation" of the contemporary generation, the vagueness and the confusing threshold of the '00s. A new author with a distinct style.
