In prehistorical times, mythical heroes lived in Greek land, famous for numerous deeds and labours. Such legendary persons were: Prometheas, who stole fire from the Gods, Dedalos and Ikaros who first flew in the skies, Perseas who killed Medussa, Vellerofontis who rode Pegassos, Frixos and Elli, the Centaurs, Hercules, Theseus and others. Together with them, other very important, brave and famous men lived in Greece, such as Jason, Oedipus, Eteokles, Polynikes, Agamemnon, Ulysses.
The deeds of these persons later inspired historical Greek poets, such as Omiros (Homer).
