Rosa, now known as Little Green Riding Hood, lives in her grandmother’s old wooden house in the woods, surrounded by her pets, in harmony with the creatures of the wild. She has even grown accustomed to the old wolf, which still prowls at a distance.
One day, the rasping noise of saws shatters the peace of the forest. Loggers are busy felling trees for Claw & Son Universal, a construction company that is building a luxury housing project. It’s time for action and Rosa summons up the boldness she used long ago to confront the wolf. With the help of her allies, Rosa takes on the land-grabbers, but she soon gets entangled in the red tape of an unresponsive bureaucracy. Then fire menaces the forest.
Ioulita Iliopoulou tells a fairy tale for modern times in prose and verse. Yiannis Kottis’s charming illustrations match and highlight its moods and moments.
