Greek Crimes II: Thirteen Detective Stories is the follow-up to a crime anthology that had a huge success. There are stories featuring devoted friendships, mysteriously missing documents, punishments for betrayals of various kinds, and murders that took place long ago but are still capable of exerting a baleful influence on the present. Others tell of antiquity thieves who collaborate with nightlife sharks and journalists who adopt the role of prosecutor. Action, surprise, and social awareness characterize most of the stories in this volume, as do suspense, intense atmosphere and shady individuals who are illuminated at the very last minute when they reveal their true motives. Humour makes its presence felt, along with a multitude of hot issues from present-day Greece. The contributors are Panagiotis Agapitos, Andreas Apostolidis, Sergios Gakas, Titina Danelli. Athina Kakouri, Costas Katsoularis, Ieronymos Lykaris, Petros Markaris, Petros Martinidis, Tefkros Michailidis, Amanda Michalopoulou, Manolis Piblis and Filippos Filippou.
