Tólias, Giórgos

Τόλιας, Γιώργος, 1959-


George Tolias is Associate Research Professor at the National Hellenic Research Foundation. He holds a Ph.D. in Modern Greek Studies (1993, Universite de la Sorbonne) and an Habilitation (2000, Universite de Nice). He is author of La Medaille et la Rouille (Hatier, 1977) which won the 1999 prize from the Societe pour l'Encouragement des Etudes Grecques. His publications concertrate on the perception of space in the modern period and more particularly on the history of geography, cartography, travel literature and archeology.
