Polítis, Aléxis

Πολίτης, Αλέξης, 1945-


Alexis Polites was born in Athens in 1945. He studied Modern Greek literature in Thessaloniki and Paris. He is presently professor of Modern Greek literature at the University of Crete, where he has been working since 1989; from 1976 to 1989 he worked for the Centre for Neohellenic Research (CNR) of the National Hellenic Research Foundation (NHRF).
