Vasso Psaraki was born in Athens in 1945.
She studied at the Vakalo Open College of Fine Arts and was involved in graphic arts. She has devoted herself to the illustration of children's books since 1978. She has illustrated 48 children's books to date. She was a nominee for the Andersen Prize for her illustrations in 1986.
In 1988 the Hellenic Circle of Children's Books awarded her a prize. In 1998 she was awarded the State Prize for Children's Book Illustration for the "Visitor in the night" by Melina Karakosta.
